A Scalable Breast Health and Screening Education Program

We are proud to be developing Rwanda’s first bespoke and comprehensive Breast Health Training and Screening Program focused exclusively on Breast Cancer.

In partnership with Africa’s leading health education platform, WCEA, we are offering accredited training for nurses and Community Health Workers (CHWs). This training will equip participants with certification in Breast Health awareness, education, and screening—utilizing groundbreaking, portable, FDA-approved, AI-powered ultrasound devices and imaging evaluation at scale for referrals and access to care.

To ensure robust and sustainable support, we are assembling a team of certified Breast Cancer Support Specialists to elevate awareness, deliver impactful education, and improve early detection and access to care.

Following certification, nurses and CHWs will operate primarily from our central hub, the Pink House, and later expand to serve rural communities through coordinated outreach efforts following our pilot phase.

We have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with WCEA, empowering us to build a legitimate, credentialed education pathway.

This enables the development of a full-spectrum Breast Health, Screening, and Support team, with the Pink House headquarters serving as both a training center and screening site—creating a holistic and community-rooted program.  We are also in the process of partnering with TELMED, a 20+ year organization who have created a groundbreaking “Radiology As A Service” platform that connects 22,000 radiologists in Europe and allows for remote imaging evaluation at scale.

We are now poised to :

Create broad Awareness to the Community at Large

Educate, Train and Create the Breast Health Specialist Team

Conduct Screenings

Evaluate the Imaging with Rad

Our initial pilot program aims to:

  • Train 10 nurses and 25 CHWs
  • Conduct 1,000 screenings over an 8-12 week period
  • Gather insights to refine the program for national scale-ups

We are currently finalizing the program structure and curriculum, which will take time to implement. However, awareness is the first foundational pillar. During the development phase, we will:

  • Launch a nationwide Breast Health Awareness Campaign
  • Leverage this campaign to generate initial funding
  • Establish a pipeline for screening registration
  • Familiarize the pubic with the technology and overall program

A central component of this campaign is a first-of-its-kind, interactive adult graphic novel series, designed to engage communities through storytelling. This series will be distributed via our extensive network of partners and distribution channels.

Our approach integrates the power of technology and human-centered storytelling to introduce the screening program and the benefits of early detection. By the time the pilot launches, the public will be familiar with the program, its goals, and the effectiveness of the AI-powered devices.

We will also strategically engage the media to highlight the innovative and groundbreaking nature of this initiative. As the first AI-powered breast health program in Rwanda, it carries immense news value—combining tech, healthcare innovation, and community impact with a compelling human story.

Our awareness campaign is also designed for sponsorship and advertising opportunities. It includes built-in spaces for brand visibility with “brought to you by” integrations. The campaign is multi-lingual and delivered across print, animation, and audio platforms, ensuring broad reach and accessibility. With measurable distribution and engagement metrics, it offers high-value visibility, resource generating opportunities and mutual benefit for our partners in our program.

We are uniquely positioned to capitalize on the current focus on AI in Rwanda as we are one of if not the first to create a comprehensive, tangible use case focused on immediate and measurable impact. We are transforming our org with deep ai integration into all of our operations and overall internal management as well as health education and screening innovation. This positions us to leverage :

Our existing relationships within both private and public sectors for sponsorship and support resources

Press/Coverage that reinforces Rwanda’s AI mission

Our comprehensive platform as a scalable model

We have an unprecedented opportunity to introduce a first of its kind program in Rwanda, as part of a comprehensive strategy, that is in direct alignment with the country’s health and technology mission. Timing is everything and we are poised to capitalize on the current existing focus and enthusiasm. We have crafted a strategic phased out plan that allows us to create a foundation built for long term success and scale. In the first phase, our plan is to :

Create immediate impact by addressing the most important initial factor in connecting with the community at large - awareness.  We have created an innovative awareness vehicle with a built in mechanism for resource generation that also benefits our partners.

Develop and Implement the first comprehensive, bespoke Breast Health Education and Screening Program in Rwanda which leverages AI technology and begin our education and training phase.
