Education, Awareness and Empowerment for the Community

In Rwanda, back in 2009, Breast Cancer Initiative East Africa Inc. (BCIEA) embarked on a mission to make a difference in the lives of breast cancer patients. Starting with just 27 individuals, our impact has grown exponentially over the years. By 2017, we had directly influenced the lives of over 10,000 people, spreading awareness and providing support. As we celebrated our 10th anniversary in 2019, our reach expanded to over 20,000 women, men, and youth, encompassing both rural and urban communities.

Our approach to creating awareness and education is multifaceted. Through our Outreach and Training Workshops, we engage with groups of various sizes, ensuring that we can reach as many individuals as possible. Additionally, we provide personalized support through one-on-one interactions and home visits, tailoring our efforts to meet the unique needs of each individual. In office-based small groups, we foster a supportive environment where participants can share their experiences and learn from one another.

We understand the importance of community outreach and collaboration. Our initiatives extend beyond traditional settings, reaching out to churches, civic groups, and businesses. By partnering with these organizations, we maximize our impact and create a network of support that extends far and wide.
