Our Wellness House, lovingly referred to as the Pink House, is a vital component of our organization. This unique facility serves multiple purposes, including providing a safe and comfortable transitional overnight space for rural patients traveling to and from treatment in Kigali. It is not merely a place to rest; it is a haven where patients find support, solace, and a sense of community during their challenging journeys.

Beyond its role as a transitional space, the Pink House serves as a versatile venue for various BCIEA activities. It is a hub for meetings, providing a conducive environment for team discussions, collaborations, and planning sessions. The Pink House is also utilized as a learning and training center, hosting educational workshops, seminars, and skill-building sessions. By offering a centralized location, we facilitate knowledge exchange and capacity-building among our dedicated volunteers, staff, and healthcare professionals.

The Pink House is more than just a physical structure; it serves as an information dissemination center. Equipped with resources, brochures, and educational materials, it acts as a gateway of knowledge for visitors seeking information about breast cancer, prevention strategies, treatment options, and support services. Our dedicated team ensures that the Pink House is always stocked with up-to-date resources, providing visitors with valuable information and empowering them to make informed decisions about their breast health. One of the highlights at the Pink House is the growing popularity of wellness activities, workshops, and demonstrations.

We recognize the importance of holistic well-being in the breast cancer journey, and we strive to provide opportunities for patients and their families to engage in activities that promote physical, emotional, and mental wellness. From yoga and meditation sessions to art therapy workshops and healthy cooking demonstrations, these activities contribute to the overall well-being of our visitors, fostering a sense of empowerment, healing, and resilience. We take great pride in the Pink House and its multifaceted role in supporting individuals affected by breast cancer. Through its transitional accommodations, meeting space, information dissemination center, and wellness activities, it has become a symbol of hope, strength, and unity within our organization and the wider community.

Enriched Functionality and Services:

The expanded "Home-Away-from-Home" at the Pink Wellness House is designed to be more than just a place of temporary refuge; it will be a patient- and survivor-centered sanctuary, offering a holistic approach to care, healing, and empowerment. This space is devoted to providing comfort, education, and support tailored to the unique needs of those affected by breast cancer.

It will offer a welcoming space for support group meetings, collaborative programs, and community interactions, fostering solidarity and creating a strong, supportive network for patients, survivors, and their loved ones.
